CanBoo designed and executed bamboo-cladded boundary walls using Bambusa balcooa for ministerial residences in Assam, including the Chief Minister’s bungalow. This project highlights the use of bamboo as a sustainable alternative material for government infrastructure and housing, combining durability, aesthetics, and environmental sustainability.

Project Challenge

To design and execute durable boundary walls for ministerial residences in Assam, including the Chief Minister’s bungalow, using bamboo as a sustainable alternative to conventional materials. The project needed to balance strength, aesthetics, and environmental responsibility while meeting government infrastructure standards.

Our Approach

CanBoo employed Bambusa balcooa for cladding, combining traditional craftsmanship with engineered techniques to ensure longevity and resilience. The bamboo treatment and installation methods highlighted its potential as a climate‑positive material, delivering a solution that was both functional and visually distinctive, while promoting sustainability in government housing.
